Series of paintings created as a part of Art Residency Programme in Włocławek  Gallery for Contemporary Art in 2024.

​​The central theme of my work explores the relationship between humanity and nature. Many of my paintings and sculptures depict a story about a lost paradise, highlighting the consequences of human life that exists outside of nature and the psychological ramifications of this separation. As humanity advances and becomes more technologically oriented, we find ourselves distanced from nature. Yet, we remain an integral part of it; we exist within nature, and nature exists within us. This creates a paradox that poses significant challenges for our modern world. This psychological struggle was examined in depth by Carl Gustav Jung through his theory of the "shadow." According to Jung, the "shadow" represents the aspects of our personality that have been repressed in response to contemporary reality. Rather than diminishing through this repression, the shadow gains strength, becoming destructive if left unrecognized and uncontrolled. Despite our awareness of this dynamic, we continue to struggle with our relationship with nature, and any corrective measures taken are likely to be inadequate until a more profound ideological shift occurs. I believe that art, at its fundamental level, can serve as a force that "restores" the connection between humanity and nature. It can reintegrate humans into the natural world and foster a vision of a more complete existence, free from destructive impulses.

Cykl obrazów zrealizowanych w ramach Rezydencji Artystycznej w Galerii Sztuki Współczesnej we Włocławku w 2024r.

​Podstawowym wątkiem w mojej twórczości jest relacja człowieka i natury, wiele z moich obrazów, a także rzeźb jest opowieścią o raju utraconym, o życiu człowieka poza naturą i psychologicznych konsekwencjach tego stanu rzeczy. Człowiek na drodze swojego rozwoju i dążenia do technicyzacji życia, ustanowił sam siebie poza naturą, a z drugiej strony pozostał jej integralną częścią, jest wewnątrz niej i ona jest w nim. Jest to rodzaj paradoksu, którego konsekwencje są dla współczesnego świata ogromnym problemem i który w warstwie psychologicznej został szczegółowo zbadany i przedstawiony już wiele lat temu, przez Carla Gustava Junga w jego teorii „cienia”. Według Junga „cień” jest tą częścią naszej osobowości, która została wyparta w zetknięciu ze współczesną rzeczywistością, ale która przez to wyparcie nie osłabła, a wręcz nabrała siły, która jest destruktywna, jeśli nie jest uświadamiana i kontrolowana. Pomimo tej wiedzy, nadal nie potrafimy zmienić tej relacji i wszelkie działania naprawcze będą, jak myślę, niewystarczające dopóki nie pojawi się zmiana głębsza, światopoglądowa. Myślę, że sztuka, w swojej warstwie podstawowej, prymarnej, może być siłą, która „przywraca” naturę człowiekowi i ustanawia go jej częścią oraz wprowadza wizję egzystencji pełniejszej, pozbawionej destruktywnych popędów.
