Anna Bujak and Hubert Bujak's exhibition "The Beauty and the Beast," curated by Patrycja Sikora will be held at the Neon Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, from October 3, 2025, to November 22, 2025.
Patrycja Sikora: "The title, "The Beauty and the Beast," refers to the famous 18th-century fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast" by the French writer Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, which tells the story of the duality of human nature and the healing power of love. It is also a parable about how appearances can be deceiving. I proposed this theme to Wrocław-based artists Anna Bujak and Hubert Bujak as a starting point for a new exhibition at the Neon Gallery. I noticed an interesting duality in their work, each of them presenting it differently in the field of art. (...)"

Patrycja Sikora: „Tytuł The Beauty and the Beast nawiązuje do słynnej XVIII-wiecznej baśni Piękno i Bestia francuskiej pisarki Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, opowiadającej o dwoistości ludzkiej natury i uzdrawiającej mocy miłości. To także przypowieść o tym, że pozory mogą mylić. Hasło to zaproponowałam parze wrocławskich artystów, Annie Bujak i Hubertowi Bujakowi jako punkt wyjścia do powstania nowej wystawy w galerii Neon. W ich twórczości dostrzegłam bowiem interesującą dwoistość, u każdego z nich inaczej uobecnianą w polu sztuki.(…)”
