ARTIST STATEMENT

 I create paintings and sculptures to explore the relationship between the human figure, nature, and culture, and to seek meanings that extend beyond individual experience.

I am a Polish artist working in painting and sculpture. I use oil and acrylic techniques, often constructing large-format paintings from canvases of different sizes and shapes. In sculpture, I work primarily with casting and welding.
My practice focuses on the human figure and its relationship to nature and culture. I draw on motifs, forms, and objects rooted in my personal biography, transforming them into images and structures that address more universal experiences.
Expressionism is an important point of reference in my work because of its emphasis on creative freedom, emotional intensity, and directness. Nature is equally significant, particularly the motif of the tree, which appears repeatedly in both my paintings and sculptures.
Through my work, I seek to approach reality on an archetypal level and to engage with forms of shared or collective experience. I see art as a means of expanding perception and sensitivity, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship with themselves and the world around them.

Tworzę obrazy i rzeźby, aby badać relacje między człowiekiem, naturą i kulturą oraz poszukiwać znaczeń wykraczających poza indywidualne doświadczenie.

Jestem polskim artystą, malarzem i rzeźbiarzem. Pracuję w technikach olejnej i akrylowej, często tworząc wielkoformatowe obrazy złożone z płócien o różnych rozmiarach i kształtach. W rzeźbie posługuję się przede wszystkim technikami odlewniczymi i spawaniem.
W centrum mojej praktyki znajduje się figura ludzka oraz jej relacja z naturą i kulturą. Czerpię z motywów, form i obiektów zakorzenionych w mojej osobistej biografii, przekształcając je w obrazy i struktury odnoszące się do bardziej uniwersalnych doświadczeń.
Ważnym punktem odniesienia jest dla mnie ekspresjonizm — przede wszystkim ze względu na swobodę twórczą, emocjonalną intensywność i bezpośredniość. Istotną rolę odgrywa również natura, szczególnie motyw drzewa, który powraca zarówno w moim malarstwie, jak i rzeźbie.
Poprzez swoją twórczość staram się docierać do rzeczywistości na poziomie archetypowym i odwoływać się do doświadczeń wspólnych, wykraczających poza jednostkową perspektywę. Postrzegam sztukę jako sposób poszerzania percepcji i wrażliwości, pozwalający na ponowne przyjrzenie się naszej relacji z samymi sobą i otaczającym nas światem.
